Make Hummus Not War print
At Blasta Books, we believe that the two things that connect everyone, everywhere, are food and stories. Food and stories are what we all have in common, no matter who we are or where we’re from.
This print was inspired by our JIBRIN authors Izzeddeen Alkarajeh and Eman Aburabi and the original version of the Free Palestine mural painted next to their Izz Café in Cork City. The mural included the line ‘make hummus, not war’, but that part had to be painted over. We are proud to be working with Julie and Owen at JANDO to make it available as a risograph print as a reminder that when we sit down together to share food at the table, we can find points of connection and commonality.
All profits from the sale of this print will go to World Central Kitchen to support their work providing meals in Gaza.
